Retail strategy for Peacock Visual Arts, including benchmarking best practice arts retail operations across the UK and Europe.
As an adventurous and successful contemporary visual arts organisation, Peacock Visual Arts aims: ‘to play a leading role in nurturing a culture of creativity in Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland’ and ‘to be renowned internationally as a centre of excellence and innovation where artists and public engage to share and explore ideas and to make and present art in exciting, stimulating and challenging ways’. This project examined options to expand the range and scale of the company's retail activity and best practice ideas from leading arts organisations including Tate Modern, the V&A and Gaudi’s Casa Mila (La Pedera), Barcelona.
project objectives :
- Generate a pool of retail development ideas
- Identify other potential commercial opportunities
- Provide an outline retail / commercial plan
